FAQs
- What should I wear and bring for the ride?
Closed toed shoes and long pants are recommended but not mandatory. You can ride in shorts and flip-flops if you like!
We are in higher elevation (8,500 feet), so its generally cooler than the Front Range. Our temperatures in the summer are usually in the low to mid seventies.
An extra sweater or a light coat is recommended on cooler days or in the spring and fall.
The saddle horns have little saddle bags that will hold a small water bottle, phone, wallet and maybe a snack for longer rides.
Backpacks are not recommended.
- Are the rides “walk only”?
We adjust the rides to match your group’s skill level. If everyone is comfortable and able to pick up the pace, we can certainly go faster on occasion. However, our routes mostly consist of somewhat rocky and winding singletrack trails which aren’t conducive to high speeds at all times.
For a genuine advanced adventure ride featuring extended cantering sections, we recommend booking a private tour.
- Can I bring my horse some apple or carrots?
Absolutely! Your horse will love the treat! If you don’t have anything, ask us, we will give you a treat to feed your horse.
