Horseback Rides & Rates

At Beaver Meadows Stables, you ride only with your own family or group. We never combine your reservation with other guests.

This allows us to match the ride to your group’s experience and riding ability. Beginners can enjoy a relaxed ride on our gentle, experienced horses, while skilled riders may have opportunities to trot and canter when ability and trail conditions allow.

All rides require a minimum of two riders. Solo riders can book their own ride but the pricing is the same as 2 person rides.

1-Hour Ride

A beautiful introduction to horseback riding in the Colorado mountains. Our shortest ride is a great choice for beginners, young children, and anyone looking for a relaxed and scenic trail ride.

2 riders — $100 per rider

3 or more riders — $85 per rider

1.5-Hour Ride

Spend a little more time exploring the forest and mountain scenery. The longer route takes you farther from the stable and includes a river crossing when trail and weather conditions allow.

For experienced groups, there may also be opportunities to trot and canter along the way.

2 riders — $125 per rider

3 or more riders — $110 per rider

2-Hour Ride

Our 2-hour ride takes you deeper into the Roosevelt National Forest, with more mountain scenery, more time in the saddle, and a river crossing when conditions allow.

For experienced groups, there may also be opportunities to trot and canter along the way.

2 riders — $150 per rider

3 or more riders — $135 per rider

3-Hour Ride

For guests looking for a longer mountain adventure. The 3-hour ride travels much deeper into the Roosevelt National Forest and gives you a chance to experience more remote trails, beautiful high-country scenery, and several river crossings when conditions allow.

This is a great choice for riders who want more than a traditional trail ride and plenty of time to explore. Only recommended for experienced riders or athletic guests, who don’t mind being a bit saddle sore:)

2 riders — $200 per rider

3 or more riders — $185 per rider

4-Hour Ride

Our longest ride is a true Colorado horseback adventure. Spend half a day exploring the forests, open meadows, mountain trails, and river crossings surrounding Beaver Meadows.

The 4-hour ride takes you far beyond our shorter routes and is designed for guests who want to experience as much of this beautiful country as possible from horseback. Only suitable for riders who have experience with longer rides.

2 riders — $250 per rider

3 or more riders — $230 per rider

Good to Know

All rides are private. Your reservation includes only your own group and your guide.

A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your ride and is applied toward your final ride total.

Riding pace and route depend on your group’s riding ability, weather and trail conditions, and the discretion of your guide.
